Are you an experienced actor, improviser, clown or dancer who wants to be explore the themes raised in Demimonde? You are invited to join us for free open workouts. This is an opportunity to indicate your interest in participating in the shows, and for us to get to know each other. You are encouraged to attend as many as possible, but you can drop in to any number of them.
The production schedule for the shows is:
- Workouts Tuesday evenings 7pm-10pm and Saturday afternoons 1:30pm-4:30pm from now through show time. (Various SF locations.)
- San Francisco performances on Fri Sep 28, Sat Sep 29, Sun Sep 30.
- Berkeley performances on Fri Oct 5 and Sat Oct 6.
The workout process will be based on creating a strong ensemble where all participants are supported in exploring their personal and familial relationships to the political themes raised in each show, along with attention to the technical detail of the genre, within the context of narrative long-form improv theatre. Experience with narrative long-form improv is helpful but not required.
These shows are produced by Ana Nelson (Complicit Productions) with support from a TBA CA$H grant. There is no cost to participate. Proceeds from the shows will be used to finance future shows, with a view to establishing a performing company dedicated to uncompromising improvised theatre on vital social themes.

Please let us know in advance by text or voice on (415) 862-0753 if you will be any later than 7pm as we will need to escort you from the Redstone Building's main entrance.
